Now I’ve done it. I gave my two weeks notice at the start of the month, said my sad goodbyes, finalized the project and by the 15th of Sept. had my last work day. The next day, my stuff was packed tightly into my Toyota and I began the long drive from Calgary to one of the most desirable cities to live in: Vancouver. For a person as risk adverse as me, this was huge. Now I am rebooting my life in a new environment. Looking for the right career and the right place.
I started this blog ages ago, but never used it because I found other mean of posting my thoughts: Primarily facebook and Google+. The problem with so many social platforms: facebook, twitter, Google+, etc… is the dilution of ones online presence.
I use the Logitech MX5500 Keyboard at work and at home. 849,020 keystrokes later and I still like it’s handy LCD panel with useful information. Right now, the room is 26°C! The unfortunate part is that there is no numlock key. To toggle the numlock, I first install numlockx:
sudo apt-get install numlockx
When I need to make the switch (I actually just keep numlock on, this is for the odd times my machine loads and numlock is off):
numlockx toggle
